EDWave in Chattanooga

We are happy to offer EDWave therapy in our office for men suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED). Unlike any other treatment for ED short of major reconstructive surgery, it offers a chance to cure ED.

The treatment uses the same technology that we use to "shock" kidney stones. However, when used for ED, it is a low intensity energy wave that doesn't hurt. It's almost like having an ultrasound on the skin of the penis.

EDWave is painless, non-invasive, non-surgical, and works by generating new blood vessels and increasing blood flow in the erectile cylinders of the penis.

The treatment has been shown to be very effective, showing improved erections in nearly 4 out of 5 men who undergo the 6 week treatment. Each treatment session lasts 15-20 minutes. During this treatment, a male physician's assistant applies gel to the penis and delivers gentle wave therapy to 5 different locations in the penis. Because the treatment is non-invasive, there is no recovery time, and you can even attempt intercourse that night if desired. Side effects are rare and minor.

Hixson Urology has performed far and away more EDWave procedures than any urology practice in the Southeast, so we believe we have the experience, knowledge and expertise to help men with ED.
